I'm Swearing Back Onto Women
Published on September 2, 2004 By The Negotiator In Life Journals
Hey gang, Its been a bit of a crazy week.

Work's been great, but I had a few epiphanies between yesterday and today, allow me to share...

1.) I believe I am ready to swear back onto women. I haven't been in a relationship for a year, I've had a few "friends with benefits" since, but I'm not interested in that right now. I'm a handsome, intelligent guy. I have my own place, a car, and a well-paying job that I like. With that combined with a few other endearing qualities, I think I'm prepared to make some lucky girl feel special.

2.) Regardless of how great you've been feeling and how much of a good time you've been having, if buying a pair of shoe inserts (yep, I'm "gellin") causes you to have a personal revelation, you've been in a funk, regardless if you feel otherwise.

3.) I'm sad to report that the mission to woo the lovely lady I'm currently persuing is soon to be aborted.

This is for Jessica - The perfect girl. She's beautiful, funny, witty, intelligent, passionate, graceful, and yet possessing a bubbly clumsiness that makes her all the more charming. I'd give anything to be with her, yet I know deep down that it would not work out of the simple fact that I could not give her what a guy her own age could give her. It's only a 4 year difference, but yet, being at opposite ends of a period in a person's life (she just starting college, whereas I will soon graduate), I would not be able to support her emotionally in a way she needs to be. She needs someone who's heart hasn't been scarred by past relationships or who's personal experience causes them to apply cold hard common sense to everything. She needs someone with a free, curious, and caring heart who can show her new things, I would merely stunt her beauty.

So hello love, I've returned from my developmental toils and am ready to embrace you and those you guide me to...

First of all, noone is perfect, but it's a good start that you think so much of her. A 4 yr. age difference can be a big deal, but not always. Aside from the age difference, why do you think you would not be able to support her emotionally the way she needs, and why do you think you would stunt her beauty?
